Beacon Operation Security Services is one of the select few Executive Protection firms in the United States that offers authorized and credentialed Armed Security Officers (ASOs). Immediately following September 11, 2001, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) developed the ASO program. Pursuant to federal aviation regulations, any private flight arriving to or departing from Washington, D.C. airports (Dullus, Reagan National) must have an ASO on board. Each B.O.S.S. ASO is a specially trained law enforcement officer authorized to carry a firearm on any private or commercial flight in the United States. B.O.S.S. ASOs have been qualified under the established criteria and training through the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS).
