Law Enforcement Development Officer (LDO) Sgt. Hebra, (Ret) Nashua Police Dept, has joined Beacon Operations Security Services, LLC (B.O.S.S.) as a special operations and strategies operative (SOSO).
Sgt. Hebra's law enforcement career included being selected as one of fifteen specially trained officers of the Special Response Team (SRT). The SRT was responsible for search & arrest warrants and emergency crisis situations involving hostages and barricaded gunman. Other major responsibilities included serving in the Narcotics Intelligence Division and the DEA Task Force. Sgt. Hebra served as the department Crisis Negotiation Supervisor and Uniformed Patrol Bureau supervisor.
Sgt. Hebra received letters of recognition and Commendation for outstanding job performances. He was named Policeman of the Year 1995 by Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Sgt. Hebra received special training and certifications. These included: composite suspect sketches, intoxilizer administration, warrant entry, defensive driving, street gang, child abuse neglect and domestic violence, proficient marksman skilled in handguns, long rifles, and defensive tactics.
Sgt. Hebra is a graduate of the University of Maine, where he earned a BA in Sociology and minored in Spanish. Sgt. Hebra played varsity football as a wide receiver at UMaine. He received four letters and set six school records. He was an All Conference Wide Receiver selection named to the ECAC Division 1A All Star Team, received All-American Honorable Mention by the AP and was named All New England by the AP. He was inducted to the University's Hall of Fame in 2002.
